Book Village will be:

 

 Saturday & Sunday

from 10 am to 5 pm*

Holiday Mondays

10 am to 3 pm

(Other times by appointment).

 

*Even if a Shop is not staffed during these hours, someone from another shop will be able to obtain access for you to the shop.

About Our Location 

 

We are located on Route 10 in Hobart, New York, three miles south of Stamford,  approximately 20 miles from Delhi and Oneonta and about a 45 minute drive from Cooperstown.  There are several nice Bed & Breakfast inns close by.  

    

Hobart is on the West Branch of the Delaware River, and there are picnic tables near the Village pond located behind the Shop.

Our shop is located in Hobart, New York, THE BOOK VILLAGE OF THE CATSKILLS, where there are now  FIVE book stores and a Book Binder on Main Street!  Hobart is  less than five miles from another fine book store:  Bibliobarn in South Kortright.  Log on to www.hobartbookvillage.com to find out more about he Book Village and Coming Events or click on our News page.

                 

 Hobart is located in beautiful Delaware County in the western Catskill region.  

           We always have tea available and very often cheese, crackers and sherry.

About Our Books        

Not all of our books are Antiquarian.  However, many of the books in the Shop were printed prior to 1850, or are about events that occurred prior to 1850.  We carry books in a wide range of categories including, Greece, Rome, the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, Art, Architecture, Religion, Judaica, Biography, Poetry and Literature.  We also carry books. reflecting local interests, including history, horticulture and wildlife.
